Product page SEO, Facebook marketing and content strategy for Popular Gadgets a Bangladesh-based electronics and gadget retail business improving organic search visibility for product searches and building social media-driven sales.
Popular Gadgets is a Bangladesh-based business selling electronics and gadgets — phones, accessories, smart devices and tech products. They operate online and were looking to grow both their organic search traffic and their social media-driven sales.
The gadgets and electronics category in Bangladesh is extremely competitive online. Large platforms and established retailers dominate broad searches. The opportunity for a smaller retailer like Popular Gadgets was in long-tail product searches — specific model names, accessory types and comparison queries — where competition is lower and buyer intent is higher.
The specific problems:
Product pages were thin — just a photo, a price and a short description — not enough for Google to rank them
No keyword research had been done for product-specific searches
Facebook content was irregular and entirely promotional — no reach-building content in the mix
No product schema markup, so products were not appearing in Google Shopping results
Product Page SEO
I selected the top 30 products by sales volume and rewrote each product page with:
A keyword-optimized title tag and meta description
A detailed product description covering features, compatibility and use cases — the content a buyer reads before purchasing
Product schema markup so the item could appear in Google Shopping and rich results
Internal links to related products to improve both navigation and crawl depth
Long-Tail Keyword Strategy
Rather than competing for "buy phone Bangladesh" — a battle no small retailer wins — I built a keyword strategy around specific model names, "best gadget for X" searches and accessory compatibility queries where Popular Gadgets could realistically rank.
Facebook Content Strategy
I rebuilt the Facebook content calendar around three types of posts:
Product education — "what does this gadget actually do" style content that builds purchase confidence
Comparison content — "this vs that" posts that attract people in the research phase
Promotional content — actual deals, but presented with context so they do not feel like pure advertising
Facebook Ads
I set up a product catalog campaign using the Meta Pixel and product feed — so the ads automatically showed the most relevant product to each visitor based on their browsing history on the website.

How do small gadget retailers compete with large platforms in Bangladesh SEO? By targeting long-tail product searches instead of broad category terms. A small retailer cannot rank for "buy smartphone Bangladesh" — but they can rank for "[specific model] price Bangladesh" or "[accessory] compatible with [phone model]" searches. These have lower competition and higher purchase intent.
Does product schema markup actually make a difference? Yes. Product schema allows your items to appear in Google Shopping results and rich snippets — showing price, availability and rating directly in the search results page. This increases click-through rate significantly for product searches, even when you are not ranked first.
Is Facebook still effective for gadget sales in Bangladesh in 2025? Facebook remains the dominant social commerce platform in Bangladesh. Product education content and comparison posts consistently outperform pure promotional content in organic reach. Combined with a structured catalog ad campaign, Facebook is still one of the most cost-effective channels for eCommerce in the Bangladesh market.
